Lorraine Wild is a well-recognized graphic designer and respected educator. Lorraine has been teaching at California Institute of the Arts since 1985. In 1996 she established her own design firm, Green Dragon Office, to focus on collaborations with artists, architects, curators editors and publishers.

In 2006, Wild received the the AIGA Gold Medal (most prestigious award you can get the in the US for graphic design); she has also received numerous awards from the New York Art Director’s Club, American Center for Design, the American Institute of Architects and the American Association of University Publishers. Lorraine’s award-winning books have been repeatedly included in AIGA’s highly selective "50 Books/50 Covers" competition. Recent projects include the design of exhibition catalogues for LACMA, the Serpentine Gallery in London, the Hammer Museum, MoCA, the Canadian Centre for Architecture, the Whitney Museum of American Art, and The J. Paul Getty Trust. She is also a writes about historical and contemporary design on a blog, Design Observer.com.
